I doubt McCain will become the candidate, I am afraid it will be Romney or Guliani. My dream face-off would be Edwards vs. McCain, or Obama vs. McCain, but those are unlikely.

I think Russia, like the rest of the world, would prefer a US president to be from the Democratic Party as they are more likely to choose diplomacy, multilateralism and cooperation than the Republicans.
