Washington Times (not to be confused with New York Times and Washington Post) is a fine example of junk media, IMO.

They are not interested in truth or information, all tbey are interested in is sensations. The article itself is so crazy that it is that I actually double-checked the publication date, half-expecting to find that it had been published on April 1st. But no, it wasn't.

    /me shrugs

We say that to a man who'd just defecated. That summarizes all.

Torturing journalists. Killing opposition voices. I remember listening to the Soviet-scrambled Voice of America in a musty, dank basement, afraid we would go to jail. Cars stopping in the night; KGB officers in black leather coats branding Kalashnikovs, taking innocent people away in the dark. My own mother and father were arrested for something I had written against the government, and taken to jail. They let my mother go but kept my father in a cell with dozens of other prisoners forced to sleep standing up. He died of a heart attack a week later.

"KGB officers in black leather coats..." This must be in "Fun Stuff".

BTW, the author of article have Georgian origin, which explains a lot.

Most of myths of Russia circulating in the West are West-made.
Let me remind you that in 90s almost every paper in Europe published a lot of notes and comments on so-called "Russian Mafia". And tere is this mafia now?

It's funny how any journalist in america can criticize these actions. Look at American policy now - NSA spying on every citizen, secret prisons where people are held without trial because they are "suspected" terrorists, and anybody who criticizes our government is deemed an unpatriotic traitor.

    It's pure hypocrisy...

Yet another provoker. Next time try writing something smarter, it would make your intent less evident.

And maybe even not wake up again... as the former Georgian premier Zurab Zhvania did. "Get poisoned by carbon monoxide from faulty home oven", poor guy.

Never forget to look under your bed for FSB agents before going to sleep -- and you'll be safe.

Fecal Georgian wine to fecal defenders of Georga's govenrmet

Once again with some new facts

Faecal Georgian wine to fecal defenders of Georgian govenrment!
