US wants to make Russia obey a US internal law

I find this pretty strange, you know. Unless I missed something.
First the USA tried to bring Russian ministers to US court to consider the Russian internal affair about Yukos. Now they've applied the sanctions about weapons. :o

Sometimes American officials can be funny, especially, if none of the companies sanctioned has any contracts with US. :)

I see a desire to make some court precedent for using it in other less difficult cases. This would be a tool of bringing some disobedient countries to the rule of american laws. A foul tendency.

Also this may provide some legal means for seizure of russian state property within USA.
