Lenin:

Stalin:

Romanov dynasty:

wikipedia - good site :)
Lenin+Stalin+Romanov=Putin (the methods are soviet, the position is monarchical)
So we dont's need to go far to find it.
See this as an evidence

Asylum. What info? You must understand the views of Lenin, and Stalin particularly will range from hero to monster. Both men achieved, and did a huge amount in their lives, so to just ask for info is vague and frankly stupid.
You need to ask specific questions.
Even "Who exactly was Lenin?" is much better than "I want info on Lenin, Stalin and the Romanovs.
And you should have just looked on Wikipedia or something.
Fuzzy math. Should be Lenin+Stalin+Romanov+x-y=35,235 (you're just lucky I can't type a square root symbol!). :lol:Quote:

Actually, I don't like it when a dull, grey fellow from an official office decides what is good for me and what is bad. Atheists in the past and advocates of religion now, they've appropriated Almighty's prerogatives to judge and punish. They are probably Great Inquisitors they have not deserved it to plan what we should do and where we're supposed to go. Or else they must replace their suits with church gowns and go to preach. They are not God, and... it caused a chain reaction all the same, see this:

The word of 'oligarch' now is turning into an offencive word too and, who knows, will be prohibited to use.
May be tomorrow the same official guys will come here on this forum to dictate what foreigners must read about Russia and what they must not.
If anybody tells me one more time about " liberzing" us or giving us freedom I'm going to puke.
I think, some countries (не будем показывать пальцем :) ) spend too much time liberizing the others. Mind your own business, guys.
Please don't feed the trolls, Gromozeka. :wink:Quote:

The fact that you can't spell even a simple word like liberalze, suggests you are no way near intelligent enough to understand anything other than "America rocks! Commies are evil!", let alone to participate in political discussion.Quote:

You could always go to Google or Yahoo and do a search there ;)
Oh, I couldn't care less.
play nice guys. i think this issue was pretty much settled, as far as the world was concerned, about 20 years ago. there are too many wars that are going on currently to argue about rather than bringing up old ones
I dont think its that stupid of a question. I think you'd need to understand a lot of soviet history to understand Russia today.
One of the things I just don't understand is how/ why people go around tearing down statues of Lenin, and changing street/landmark names to forget about soviet times.
But why would they want to erase it? Lenin, Soviets, Bolsheviks... though out dated and long since passed... They are a part of Russian History. Lenin layed the bricks to raise russia to the only nation that could ever compete with the united states. So what if he was a communist? He is still a part of Russian history.
In the USA, Democrats dont go around tearing down statues of Abraham Lilcoln because he was a republican. I think people should stop trying to forget the past so easily, and be proud of what the soviet union managed to accomplish.
you make a good point. i think people try to tear down physical signs of communism because its easier than dealing with what happened. but your right lenin brought russia to am amazing level. so what if hes a communist. on the other hand hitler single handedly brought germany out of the great depression, the worst economic time of the century. so what if he was a fascist.
i guess i just dont understand people fear of communism. fear of change, fear of something different i suppose.
Well, the Germans have done a fair job of remembering their past and accepting it. They teach it to children right from the beginning so they won't repeat some of the same mistakes their forefathers made. Anyway it's a lot better there than say iin Japan......
Do they teach about communism in Russian schools?
They restore monuments to Dzerjynsky. That's what they do. But cshool children do now know what Lenin was like despite a lot of Lenin's memorials that still stand in frot of authorirty offices and never seem to be unmounted.Quote:
