That cartoon charictor that you have as your aviatar Veedey is he called pogodi??

Not quite: "Nu, pogodi!" is called the cartoon itself. (In enlish it' something like "Watch out!"). And Veedee's avatar is the Wolf from this cartoon (it just the Wolf, and its main adversry is just the Hare).

As I remember this is from cartoons: "Кто вказал "мяу"? и "Котенок по имени Гав".
