    Post Glasnost political Satire

Well perhaps this would be better in entertainment, but as a visitor to Russia, I'm quite curious about watching Russian satire on their own politicians. I must admit complete ignorance except for hearing about a show called Kookli in an article about Spitting Image, the UK puppet satire show. I'd like to find some links to it and any other Satire on politics Russia provides.

As a fellow non-Russian, all I can say is to гуглить:
Куклы (kukly -- "puppets/dolls"), now off the air because certain presidents didn't like it very much

Крокодил (krokodil -- "crocodile"),which used to be a Soviet satire, but made a comeback

Also, an excerpt that may interest you:
Satirist Maxim Konenenko spun a yarn on Vladimir.Vladimirovich.ru in which Putin, after kissing the boy, makes his way back to his office, stopping to unbutton the shirts and kiss the stomachs of every man he meets, including his deputy chief of staff, Vladislav Surkov. Konenenko ends with Putin rushing into his office and ordering his secretary to bring in "Medvedev, Ivanov, Sechin, Sobyanin, Mironov, Fradkov, Gref, Kudrin, Shoigu, Zurabov, Lavrov ... in short, everyone."
Заранее благодарю всех за исправление ошибок в моём русском.

Haha, thank you, especially for bringing the wikipedia entry on Russian jokes to my attention. I had tried to google it, but sex dolls tended to come up more often then anything else...

Gotta love Krokodil; I have a collection of some of their jokes in Russian/English. Our SSEES Library just threw it away...Typichniiye
