Я Declension - Simple Sentence Question

Hi, guys. I have a question about declension.

"Она стояла со мной" means "She stood with me", and мной is in the instrumental case, so referring to the means of doing something (by/with).

So, if I were to say "She stood by me", what would I write? Would I just change it to "Она стояла мной"?

Hmm, that depends on what you actually mean :) Stand by someone as in support someone or stand by someone as in stand near someone? :crazy: Anyway,

if the latter: Она стояла рядом со мной
if the former: Она поддержала меня (в трудную минуту)
