    Так!

    Can you use "так!" to mean something like "it's so!" or "it is so!" or just plain old "yes" in Russian (I think this is so in Ukranian, remembering the Orange revolution...)?

    For example, somthing like this:
    -"Are you going to the market today?"
    -Так.

    or

    -You didn't win the lottery!
    -Так!

    It will be better to use "это так" in your examples.

    Можно просто ограничиться словом "да"

    так meaning yes is not Russian it is Ukrainian.
