    А вот "пострадавшие районы" -- очень зависит, от чего пострадавшие. Если от стихийное бедствия, можно disaster regions.

    Is пострадавшие used properly? It seems пострадали would work.

    It's ok. If you want to change the word to "пострадали" you should add "они": зависит, от чего они пострадали.
    Please, correct my mistakes, except for the cases I misspell something on purpose!
