Thread: По твоему письм...

In an exercise in "Расговорная практика" Добавьте окончания существительных, опреляя их палеж I see:
"По твоему письм... я понял, что ты любишь литературу". "Letter" is always in plural in this exercise. I think it should be "По твоим письм(ам)" or "По твоему писму".

А если просто вставить вместо многоточия "у", то чем плохо?

"По твоему письму я понял, что ты любишь литературу".

Дательный падеж.

Hi Radomir & welcome to the forum! Please don't feel bad about asking basic questions as it would help people like me to understand when explanation is given by the 'gurus'.
Also when you ask it tends to make things clearer to yourself too. Besides you often get many different aspects that you don't see before. I must say that the 'residents' here on this forum are extremely helpful and very selflessly spend their time carefully giving us very good guidance in learning the language.
