YYY выразил озабоченность продолжением конфликта в XXXом регионе...
YYY expressed anxiety of/from continuing of conflict in XXX region...

I am not a native speaker of English but is my translation correct? Especially the preposition. Is it the same preposition as in a sentence like -> I am afraid of spiders?
In the russian sentence you don't use any preposition, right?

expressed concern over continued conflict
