Thread: одалживать

The word, одалживать, does it mean to lend to or to borrow from? Like in this sentence,
Каждую зарплату она бегает одалживать деньги.
Is it, "Every payday she runs to borrow money from someone", or is it "Every payday she runs to lend money to someone"?

Just from common sense she is unlikely to run to and fro to lend money to someone, unless she have some profit from it.

Care to explain a little more? My my understanding of the sentences, person does profit from both lending and borrowing.
