    напоминать

I came across the "Что Вам напоминает эта картинка?"...construction

I know contrutions like "Напомним, что срок поставки..."... but always tried to use other kinda words just not to use напоминать

    1) напоминать кому-л. о чём-л.
    2) напоминать что-л.

Looking forward to explanations concerning the difference between the two methods above - примеры appreciated
    no pain, no gain

    Try this:
    Lingvo about напоминать

Это мне напоминает XXX = ~It looks to me like XXX
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

    I don't really get what you're asking.

Что Вам напоминает эта картинка? = What does this picture remind you of?

напоминать что-то = to resemble something.

Нынешнее поведение Грузии напоминает театр абсурда.
Georgia's current conduct is reminiscent of (=resembles, reminds you of) the theatre of the absurd.

напоминать кому-то о чём-то = to remind someone of something.

The meanings are pretty much the same though.

I just wasn't sure whether they really were the same!

I DO KNOW that you use the напоминать кому-л. о чём-л. form (Mr A reminds B of..) ....but what if I say that looking at a picture.. that this "thing" reminds you of ....let's say..something in the past?

    thx for your help
