What does the word "навязчив" mean in the following paragraph?

I don't know from "importunate," but, to use a word I can understand, "demanding." I would only use "importunate" if I didn't want anyone to know what I meant! That's a $128 word,

Even $256 words can be handled, given a good dictionary . And "importunate" is a better more correct word than "demanding" because it is more correct. When you say that the world is demanding, what would it communicate? Most people would think you want to say that it is hard on you because it requires you to work hard or to meet certain difficult requirements etc. And навязчивый means a different thing: that you can't get away from it, that it will find a way to remind you of its existence, no matter how hard you may try to ignore it.

If you you want to give a discount, chaika, use "annoyingly forceful". With "demanding" you'll be asked for a reimbursement (surely you know this word, even as long as it is ).
