    Some Help - Nervous

    Hey All -

I am college student, double majoring in Cello performance and Russian Studies. I have been studying Russian for a few years now, and it has really helped me, not only in my Russian studies major, but also in my music - seeing as how almost all of the faculty is Russian . I am new to these boards, and I am absolutely thrilled to have found them! I think that it will be very useful to me in my practice!!!

Anyway - I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to say the sentence "I am nervous" in Russian. In my Learners Russian dictionary I have, it only gives examples in past tense. Saying "I wasn't very Nervous" or "She was so nervous she couldn't speak" and things like that. Can someone help me with this sentence?

    Большое спасибо!!!!

It depends on context actually... It could be "я переживаю", or "я нервничаю". Or maybe something better depending on context.

Lets say that I am telling someone that I am nervous about an upcoming concert? Does that help with context at all?

Like Ramil did, I'd also use "волноваться" there. Я волнуюсь по поводу предстоящего концерта.
If you'd say "я нервничаю по поводу концерта", it could mean some unpleasant feelings.
