For example I wrote the following expressions:
1. When you read a book in russian you should try to understand the meaning without opening the dictionary every time you come across with an unknown word.
2. Try to speak without thinking
3. He continued speaking without revealing his anger.
4. He saved the man without considering the risk on his own life.

I am sure that:
1. "He speaks without thinking" is "он говорит не думая".

Google translate gives the following союз: без того, чтобы but I don't know if it works on this case.
