    ..ходит

I guess the answer to the following question is either A or C. Can someone help me?

Ты знаешь, Ирина ____ работать в другой банк.
    А) выходит В) заходит С) переходит D) проходит Е) зайдет

The answer is C) - переходит

But I'd used уходит which is not listed.

I agree. For me переходить would be fine in a sentence like Она перешла на другую работу.

why is it perexodit and not perejdet? I mean, imperfective, repeated, or there-and-back-again. Action is taking place right now, she's packing up the things in her desk?

You can use perfect here but the exact time is uncertain. Скоро here can be tomorrow, someday next month or even next year. So it's better to use imperfective. Perfect means certainity while imperfect means that it's still possible for her to change her mind and stay.

Imperfective because it is an ongoing action (her decision is irreversible and she has probably already started the procedure). If you say перейдет, it would mean that she decided to move but still no action was performed (it is still possible for her to change her mind).
Somewhat contradicting with what Ramil said but I understand it this way

Well yes, specifying some (distant) moment in the future with imperfective (ты знаешь, в следующем году Ирина переходит работать в другой банк) would possibly mean uncertainty. But here is no such specification, so the action should be considered as already taking place or with equal level or certainty.
    So here, as I believe:
imperfective (переходит) - she is in process of moving.
perfective (перейдет) - she will move at an unspecified moment of time.

You know, I was pretty sure that there was the word скоро in the original post

    скоро переходит vs скоро перейдёт
