I completly agree with Ramil that да уж can have different meanings.
Here are some of the examples I could think of:
Да уж ... давно это было!
Yes, indeed, it was a long time ago! (Alas, it was a long time ago!)
You use it when you think back into the past and remember some good moments.
Да уж, просто нет слов! No comments! (Difficult to translate)
This expression has a negative meaning.
Да уж...
It can be used as an answer when you don't believe in what someone else is saying to you. It has a sarcastic connotation.
