The difference is when you say 'счастливого пути' it in 99% cases implies a journey or a trip. The alternatives are "счастливо доехать!, счастливо добраться!" (have a nice journey, have a nice trip)
"В добрый путь" is perceived like a blessing when someone is about to start some endeavor, for example when students graduate from high school the principal or school board might say to the audience (students, parents) : "В добрый путь" , meaning they now finished school, and will go to college and they have some new endeavor or task ahead. So here the word "путь" implies not a journey or trip, but a 'journey in life, or career" (of course the use of it is not restricted by education area only).
