what to say when somebody responds to a question with "да разную"

The conversation, basically I asked what kind of TV programs he/she watches. Replied да разную. I looked it up. There is no TV show called that. I also said something about listening to music. How do I respond to this? I really dont understand

Sometimes people don't want to give full answer. And they use words: да разные, многие, много чего, любые.
It's easier = one word instead a list of something.
    But people use this:
    1. When they have time limit. They want to give an answer but they have not enough time for this.
    2. When they don't want to give an answer. In this case answers like да разные, разные, любые etc will repeat. And if you still want to take an answer, people who respond may use: да ладно, зачем тебе? Это не важно.

That's good to know! So if people say that, they are almost brushing you off, indicating that they don't want to give an in-depth answer...?

it would be similar if somebody would be saying
    "some stuff"
    "nothing"
    etc.
on a question: "What are you watching?"

Actually, the person who have answered that way may just has no any specific preferences in music or TV programs and he just likes to listen to what is played on radio (pop mainstream, but probably he just doesn't know that it is called this way). So, he is not brushing you off he is just not a guru in music.
