    What does Vincha mean?

    Hello... I'm new in this forum,and have a question.

    My father is born in a village in eastern Bosnia.The name of the village is "Vinca" or "Vincha".What does this name mean?

    Also "Vinca" or "Vincha"?
    Anyway it's not a russian word.
    In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

    Vinca - this is the name of a flower.

    In Russian Всегдажив.

    У бессмертника другое наименование.

    Oh... not "Vinca",I know it's a flower it's my fmistake,I'm sorry.

    I mena Vincha (the ch is spelled like in my nick name Kotromanich or Ivanovich...)

    ВИНЧА, неолитическая археологическая культура (кон. 5-го 4-е тыс. до н. э.) на Балканах, в бассейне рек Морава и Вардар. Название по телю(селу??) Винча около Белграда. Остатки поселений, каменного орудия, керамика, глиняные статуэтки. Хозяйство: земледелие, скотоводство, рыболовство.

    I know that,but what's the meaning of the word.I thought it might a slavic word? Or maybe it is Roman?
