    take for dinner

I wanted to translate the following expression:
Today I would like to take some customers to dinner.
    What is the correct translation.

Sounds a bit awkward, but grammatically correct. I would use несколько клиентов, or кое-каких (if you know who they are).

"Забрать" implies that you take someone at the specific place and after that you go with them somewhere.

In this context "взять" means these customers are invited by you. You may come there together or separately, it's not specified.

    New question.
"He hesitated to speak to girl"
"He hesitated and he didn't open a new business"

"He hesitated to speak to girl"
(coz he felt shy)
(we don't know why)

"He hesitated and he didn't open a new business"

"Колебаться" implies an oscillation, as if your mind "oscillates" and you can't make a decision.
"Стесняться" means that a person feels shy and can't bring themselves to do something.
