Subject of main clause, or subordinate clause?
'Пока секретарь собирал совещание, прокуратор в затенённой от солнца тёмными шторами комнате имел свидание с каким то человеком, лицо которого было наполовину прикрыто капюшоном, хотя в комнате лучи солнца и не могли его беспокоить'
The 'его' in bold; the only reason I can see for this to refer to the hooded man, not the procurator, is because otherwise the sentence would make no sense. Apart from that good reason, how else would this be obvious? Is there something in the sentence that indicates this? When I first read this, I assumed 'его' meant 'the procurator', who I thought would still be the subject here.
