    курировавший

What's the meaning of this word in the following sentence? And what's the infinitive form of it?

    - Он приблизил к себе Башара, вызвав его из Лондона, и поручил ему несколько функций, сделал его своим политическим советником, заставил его пройти курсы в военной академии, присвоил ему звание полковника и доверил несколько важных миссий, таких, например, как борьбу с коррупцией, фактически он возглавлял структуру, курировавшую борьбу с коррупцией, - а это колоссальная проблема для Сирии.

фактически он возглавлял структуру, курировавшую борьбу с коррупцией
    Could it be something like:

In fact, we was the head of the organization, that was leading the battle against corruption?

I think supervising would be a more precise translation than leading.

I think the verb is "supervised" in the text given, and the infinitive is "to supervise":
supervise vt (person, activity) курировать (impf)
    Collins Russian Dictionary 671 (2003)
supervise (past and past participle supervised, present participle supervising, 3rd person present singular supervises) transitive and intransitive verb . . . 1. oversee activity: to watch over an activity or task being carried out by somebody and ensure that it is performed correctly 2. oversee people: to be in charge of a group of people engaged in an activity or task and keep order or ensure that they perform it correctly
