hi guys. I'm having trouble with the idea of perfective/imperfective verbs. I just can't seem to get it. Please tell me if theyre wrong and why.

ранше я каждый день писала.
вчера я написала письмо. хочешь его прочитат?
мама готовила долго сегодня.
мама риготовила хороший овед сегодня.
я будет читать газету и потом пошел на работу.
я читал, когда саша смотрел телевисор.
завтра они сдесь постоят новый кинотеатр "Россия".
в будущем они будут стоить мкого новых домов злесь.

что вы делали вчера?
вчера я читал книгу, потом смотрел телевисор, а потом звонил мой друг.

что вы сделаете завтра?
завтра я прочитаю газету, поеду в университете, и поработаю.

You had mostly typos, most of your imperfectives/perfectives were fine! Be proud of yourself! Or be ashamed of me for not catching them :)

For the second to last sentence, you calling your friend wasn't a process (unless you couldn't get a hold of him and tried and tried), but a completed action...

it should be что вы делаете завтра (=what are you doing tomorrow)
or что вы собираетесь/будете делать завтра (=what are you going to do tomorrow)
завтра я буду читать газету, поеду в университет и буду работать

Мама сегодня долго готовила (more natural word order)
Сегодня мама приготовила хороший обед (again in most contexts more people would put today at the front)
Я прочитаю газету а потом пойду на работу (use perfective verbs to talk about a series of actions in the future, the form я буду читать газету means you will/are going to be reading the newspapre, пошел is past tense, so literally what you wrote means I'm going to be reading the newspaper and then I went to work, don't think that's what you wanted to say)
я читал, когда саша смотрел телевисор. - good
завтра они здесь постРоят новый кинотеатр "Россия". the grammar is ok, but the sentence doesn't make much sense to me as I don't know of any movie theaters ever getting built in one day (literally your sentence means that tomorrow they're going to build the new movie theater Rossya here)
в будущем они будут стРоить мНого новых домов злесь. sound a bit contrived, a more natural way of saying the same thing would be
они собираются построить здесь много новых домов (в будущем is superflous here as the future tense of the verb already indicates that the construction of the new buildings will be taking place in the future rather than in the present or the past)

this one's not so much about perfective vs imperfective, you know the question что вы сделаете завтра is grammatically ok and you might probaly even hear people say that but only in very specific contexts, like if one person was giving another instructions on what they're supposed to do tomorrow and then they ask them, "so tell me what are you gonna do tomorrow" to verifye whether they understood what's needed from them. Most of the time, though when asking about the other person's intentions you want to use imperfective verbs either in the present or in the future

что вы будете делать завтра
чем вы собираетесь заниматься завтра
что вы собираетесь завтра делать
the verb forms in the reply depend on the nature of the planned actions. Remember one off actions are usually described with perfectives while actions whose start and finish are less defined usually take imperfectives.
For instance
Я буду заниматься нашим проектом - I'll be working on our project - the implication here is that I started working on it some time back and I won't be finishing it tomorrow.
Съезжу в центр, прошвырнусь по магазинам - here both are perfective verbs, because they're both one time actions, I'll go downtown and do some shopping, the implication is that they'll go there and come back and they expect to be done with all of their shopping for that day by the time they get back.
so the key is the nature of the action.

мама сегодня долго готовила

They all sound the same natural to me. Word order depends on context, intonation, what are you trying to emphasize.

the meaning of a given sentence usually ties in with what you're trying to emphasize. Maybe I'm weird or something but мама готовила долго сегодня sounds like a line from a poem to me, it's perfectly grammatical but it definietly is not neutral. And no matter what some grammar books might say about how liberal the word order in Russian is, like in most european languages in 9 cases out of 10 it's more natural to put the predicate group as close as possible to the subject group that's why раньше я писала каждый день is more natural - it's easier for the brain to parse so for the мама sentence the most natural word order would be сегодня мама готовила долго.

Meh, it still sounds natural to me.

Just pin-point the meaning of "naturality". It differs from person to person.
