ya veigral civodnya; ya veigrayu zaftra? A Russian Co-worker of mine explained that this is the correct way of saying "I win" & "I won" in the present and past-tenses. To me, this seems to conjugate incorrectly. I compared it to "chitat" -- Ya chitayu knigu(present); ya chital knigu(past), he said this are the correct forms for 'to read' , but ' to win' is formed differently. Is this right?

Я выиграл сегодня - I won today
Я выиграю завтра - I will win tomorrow
Я выигрываю сейчас - I am winning right now

выигрывать / выиграть - to win (imperf./perf.)

"I win" means "Я выигрываю (постоянно/обычно/как правило)".

Not always. It's irregular in English.

I always win: Я всегда выигрываю
I win! (actually I mean "I have won!"): Я выиграл!
