I think you got it from a classic book but this word is barely used now. I suggest to avoid using this word in regular conversations

Please do not overuse "really" in Russian (I know this word is very popular in US) it doesn't have exactly the same meaning in Russian culture as it is in US(or maybe some other countries)
I guess the most popular sentence with this word in US will be "Really?" Just one word. It is a cultural thingy but it won't be the same in Russian. Russians don use it this way(to support/continue conversation)
