This phrase is in a listening comprehension lesson. A friend (by phone) told me it means "for practical experience", but I can't find the phrase in any of my dictionaries, etc. It sounds like it should be spelled "на стежеровка." Could someone please tell me how it should be spelled and the correct grammar for its usage?
It's стажировка. In college the students are sent to work somewhere for practical experience. That's called "стажировка". There's also a verb "стажироваться" (to have "стажировка") and a person who "стажируется" is called "стажёр".
Examples:
Он проходит стажировку заграницей (= Он стажируется заграницей)
Где у тебя будет стажировка?
Он сейчас на стажировке.
