there are many ways to translate 'for', and also we can use noun or verb phrase to convey the same idea...

Я виноват в том, что не помог ему.
Я виноват в том, что не помогаю ему.
Я чувствую свою вину в том, что не помог ему. (i feel)
Я чувствую, что виноват, потому что не могу помочь ему.
(you see I use both past and present here, because in English it is not clear without the exact context)

as for the Erinyes, I am afraid there is no similar way of saying this in Russian,
something similar to the idea might be used, such as Я мучительно переживаю свою невозможность помочь ему (I have a helpless and acute feeling that I can't help him), but I can't think of any mythological parallels here.
