I think the best translation is "Мои брат и сестра"

So, if you're talking about two different genders, you would just use the first? For instance, you wouldn't say "Мои брат и моя сестра"?

"Мой брат и моя сестра" is correct. Somebody can say also "Мой брат и сестра"... But, in my humble opinion, "Мои брат и сестра" sounds best.

Брат и сестра here are understood as the whole. The whole comprising two objects, so to say. And thus the plural form of the pronoun is used.

aah, I see. Duh, I forgot that "Mои" is plural and "Мой" is singular masculine...
