Doesn't both pronouns means the same thing in this particular example?

What are you satisfied with?

About what are you satisfied?

The only difference is that "Чем вы довольны" is correct, and "О чём вы довольны" isn't.

"Чем вы довольны" isn't sounds good. I think it's better to say "Почему вы довольны?" or in spoken language "И что это ты такой довольный?"

As always it depends on the context:
-Они конечно многое сделали неправильно, но кое-чем я всё-таки доволен.
-Чем вы довольны?
Also, when one hasn't heard what the other one was satisfied with and asks to repeat it.

Чем is the instrumenal of что, чём is the prepositional.
