Он не проявил должной (=due) осторожности при завершении (or better: выполнении "carrying out") работы.
Будь осторожен - be careful.
Он осторожно потрогал рану - he carefully touched the wound.
Of course, it's just one possible version, others users will post heaps of other versions, just give it some time.

"Он не проявлял большого беспокойства о том, чтобы закончить свою работу."
Or better "Он не сильно беспокоился о том, чтобы закончить свою работу."
