Every month I sit here in my domicile looking out at the moss reflecting under the yellow lunar light and think it's almost as if the two tongues were related. Hmmm, you think?

And not only russian an english, but also latin, from where came words edacious, domicile, lunar

thus Russian and English have much older similarities - from Latin,Greek also from Celtic and even from earlier language - words like Sun солнце, nose нос, plough плуг(perhaps) and many other came from one root.

I wouldn't be so sure of that as an etymologist. But I'm not one.

comeon Rtyom, you can't denay that Russian and English have a great many of words of the same root! Both have lots of words from one Latin or Greek origin.
Sun and nose take their origin in the Sanscrit language - undesputedly the elder one of existing now.
The Slavic word кремль has the same meaning with Celtic word cromleh - both mean (stone) circle.
One of the most famous celtologists Francoise Le Roux evolves the theory that the words Wales and wall have one root. After I encounter it I thought that Slavic root вал ((earthen) mound or wall) is too similar with the first two.

wealcan is the Old English word for the verb "roll". It's akin to one Indo-Erupean root with the meaning of curving and rolling and alike. The word "wall" in Old English was weall, going back to the Latin "vallum" meaning "rampart".

So maybe there is sense.

So curious was to know that Latin word classus (fleet>флот) gave the birth to such words as classical and classics (same for Russian respectevelly).
In the Roman Empire everything naval was characterized as something brought to the ideal order (one more word!). Hense everything classical is something subjected by the order.

Proto indo-European is where a lot of these words all share there roots.

I am curious though, if the first humans were from Africa, why all links lead to India? Should be evident similarities with some African languages - dead or with used ones.
