    Attend

    What's the most appropriate Russian verb (impf. and pf. if possible) for attend as in I must attend a funeral? Which case and/or preposition follows it?

    That's an imperfective, right? Does it have a perf. counterpart? Also, is it simply the accusative case after it?

    Присутствовать на похоронах. "На" + Prepositional

    Only the imperfective form is used in proper Russian. "Поприсутствовать" is considered by many colloquial to the point of vulgarity.
