Since you have written (it), it means that you at least know (it/about it).Originally Posted by Mordan

You once wrote (it),
That means
хотя бы знаешь you should / would know.
Now its no so hard is it?
Раз here means "since, if", not "once".Originally Posted by Dogboy182
What's the word хотя doing there? My dictionary says хотя бы means "even if", which doesn't make sense in this context...

It's like asking why "give in" means surrender when "give" means give... :POriginally Posted by Darobat
Хотя бы is not the same as хотя.
Check your dictionary again, and if it doesn't have an entry for "хотя бы", get a better dictionary
My dictionary sucks. Oxford Pocket.

ABBYY Lingvo Dictionary:
1) ( даже; если хотите; даже если ) even, if
он кончит работу, хотя бы ему пришлось просидеть всю ночь — he will finish the work, even if he has to sit up all night
хотя бы и так - even if it were so
2) ( по крайней мере ) at least, if nothing else
если не для него, то хотя бы для его товарища — if not for him, at least for his friend
для этой работы ему нужно хотя бы два дня — he ought to have at least two days for that work, he needs two days to do the job
хотя бы на день - if only for a day
3) ( например ) for example, for instance
возьмите хотя бы его друга — take his friend for instance
— take for example the famous story about ...
4) ( даже не, нисколько не ) even, not even
выпили по бутылке и хотя бы краска в лице прибавилась — we had a bottle each and his face didn't even colour
I wish, if only
хотя бы посоветовал кто-нибудь — if only someone would advise me
Ahh, my dictionary only lists the first of the five meanings.

I also have the Oxford "Pocket" -- which wouldn't fit in any pocket I've EVER seen. Basically, it's all the inconvenience of a true pocket, without the luxury of easy storage...Originally Posted by DDT

if you wrote it at least one time, then you'd know it...
that's what I like about the Russian language...you have sometimes read between the lines as a non-native speaker
