I was told from an unreliable source that this word can have a "good" meaning, other than the derogatory naming of someone. Is this true?

yes

Лесбиянка means lesbian and it's not derrogative per se (I think the remark about offensiveness in the usage note here applies to this case too).

So it's not really more or less derogatory than the English word?

As if i can't understand what you're sayign about me. What the hell is wrong with my english anyway. Everytime i argue with people they say "at least i can speak english!!"

So i cant speak english because im a lazy typer? If my pinky hits q instead of w and im too lazy to correct it because its just the stupid f*cking internet and i don't give a rats ass about people on the itnernet.

I've written plays, screen plays, and about 20 short stories, mind you. So please don't be so quick to judge my lignuistic abilities because of a few mechanical typos.

I thought you were questioning my level of intellegence again. Sorry i can't read your mind. But no, I don't write childrens stories... (Though i had to one time in a writing class i took. It was hard but everyone loved it. I waz the best in class)
