She glows/sparkles/shines from happinees (which is the correct English word) -> Она светится /светит/блестит от радости!
The sun shines -> Сольнце светит
She shines with happiness - Она сияет от счастья. Солнце светит is good, just don't put any undue 'ь's in there.
Она светится.
Блестит на солнце снег.
Лампа светит.
Светиться = glow (radiate light and make yourself brighter)
Светить = shine (radiate light all around and make everything else brighter)
This pretty much corresponds with the idea of reflexive verbs, which treats the "-ся" as the "self-directioning" modifier. That is, светиться = to radiate light (shine) onto itself (to glow).
