Can any one explain растительные сливки to me, please? (That's rastitel'nye slivki in case my cyrillic doesn't work.)

Literally it means vegetable cream, which I understand to mean some sort of non-dairy creamer. Could it mean vegetable extract? I came across it in an advertising poster from 1925.

The can on the poster reads:
Сгущенные растительные сливки
Ореховые

Should that be translated as "Condensed non-dairy cream, walnut flavor"?

Or just as "condensed nut extract"?

Thanks for any help.
