    проживание и пребывание

Is there a difference between these words?
    For example:
    1. During my staying in Athens I learned many things about the behavior of Greeks.
    2. I won a ticket with free staying in a hotel in the center of the city.
When I use the two words.
Чем больше слов, тем меньше они стоят.

Обычно проживание - это постоянное обитание, пребывание - временное.

Just a quick note on the English -- "staying" is a verb form, while the noun form is "stay." So your examples would be:
    1. During my stay in Athens I learned many things about the behavior of Greeks; OR
While I was staying in Athens I learned many things about the behavior of the Greeks

    2. I won a ticket for a free stay in a hotel in the center of the city. (Or something along these lines)

Also: "When do I use these two words?"

I wasn't sure if you were interested in English help as well, so forgive me if you were not -- I just figured I'd point it out.
