    начать, начаться

    начать, начаться - Could anyone please explain the differences in these two verbs and perhaps give some examples of their uses?

    начать - to begin, start
    начаться - same but passive voice

    Я начал новый день. -- I started a new day.
    Новый день начался. -- A new day started

    начать is a transitive verb

    начаться is an intransitive verb
    Please correct my mistakes if you can, especially article usage.
