Too pompous.Quote:

I think in his context he means, "you are very nice". As in:
- Will you do me a favor and fetch me some vodka?
- Sure!
- You are the best!
So in this case, maybe:
ты милейший! Man
ты милейшая! Woman
??
My sense of Russian isn't very developed, but Ты - лучший does sound a little funny to me
It's ok. It's pronounced without any pauses (the dash here is just for grammar purposes only)Quote:

For example than adressing to a girl, it's better to say "Ты - прелесть!", to a guy - "Ты - молоток!" or so. At many cases these or some other phrases can be more appropriate translation of "You are the best!"Quote:

у теба еств красивое название.
[ Is my Russian sentence correct?]
I'd say this:
У тебя - очень красивое имя.
The word "название" is for inanimate objects.
I would say so as well except I'd amend the punctuation.Quote:

Thanks, ReDSanchous!
hey, how did that "очень" sneak in there? Gorky didn't write "you have a very beautiful name"
Thanks everybody
Kalinka, I would agree with you. However, it is not a big problem.
By the way, you have a very beautiful name.
Kстати У тебя очень красивое имя.
How about my Russian translation? Is it flawed?
According to my Oxford Russian dictionary, the Russian word 'Kстати' stands for 'by the way', You might think otherwise.
