    How to translate the following?

I just need confirmation that I am translating these sentences properly.

    When asking a taxi driver:
I need to go to the airport.

When waiting to be seated at a restaurant:
    Table for 1 person please.

    Table for 2 people please.

    Thanks.

I'm not sure if you should use ездить in the first one, it is used to express habitually travelling. Perhaps ехать. I would say "мне нужна поехать в аэропорт." Or maybe just " в аэропорт, пожалуйста".
In ordering a table it might be easier to just say........."Я хотел бы стол на двоих." I would like a table for two.
Well if I'm wrong there will be a Russian along later to correct us both.!

    What is the difference between

    and

    Thanks.

    1.
In this case we do not use "стол", we use "столик".
    3.

"ехать" means to be in progress of going somewhere (by car, bus, train etc).
"поехать" means to start going somewhere. (Maybe you remember the famous Gagarin's phrase "Поехали!" ("Let's go!") when his spaceship was about to take off).
"доехать" means to successfully finish going somewhere (to arrive somewhere as a result of going somewhere).
When you say "I need to go to airport" to taxi driver, you mean that you need to actually arrive there, so you should use "доехать". "Мне нужно поехать в аэропорт" sounds a bit weird in this context.
Although in other contexts, not related to the process of going somewhere, when departure and arrival are not considered separate actions, "поехать" can be used.
"Я должен поехать туда во что бы то ни стало." - I must go there by all means.
