Trying to translate a novel.
For fun ( ), practice and vocabulary building, I've been translating various things. I've just started to translate a novel, and am stumped by a sentence:
Quote:
Барышня, которая и в самом деле была чудо как хороша, уставилась на наглеца, чуть приоткрыв от испуга земляничные губки.
I'm sure that it's just idiomatic usage that's confusing me. My best effort at a translation is this:
Quote:
The young lady, who was really miraculously well behaived, stared at the impudent fellow, her strawberry lips ever so slightly parted from being startled.
Я правилен?
Спасибо!

чудо как хороша means that she was very, very pretty.
Now, this is definitely wrong. You can say "Я правильно понял это?" or "Правилен ли мой перевод" or something like that :)
