    David Kershaw = Дейвид Кершо
    Matthew = Мэтью (This is a literal phonetic rendering)
    Матвей (Matvey) (This is the Russian equivalent)
    Amanda = Аманда / Эманда

    As this question is very serious I think the right variant in Russian is the following:

    David Kershaw --> Дэвид Кершо
    Matthew --> Мэттью
    Amanda --> Аманда

    The word "Мэтью" looks not natural for me. "Мэттью" is better.

    P.S. In other words I agree with gRomoZeka.

    My name is Matthew as well and my Russian visa says Мэттью so I guess that's the best variant. But don't get that tattoo. It looks ridiculous (in both languages) + no Russian will understand it.

    Like why would you get a tattoo of USA in Hebrew or a German name written with oe instead of with an umlaut?

    I'd advise him to get Матвей... or if you want, Матфей, though that is pretty archaic and if you Google it, you get mostly religious websites back.
    Вот это да, я так люблю себя. И сегодня я люблю себя, ещё больше чем вчера, а завтра я буду любить себя to ещё больше чем сегодня. Тем что происходит,я вполне доволен!
