Thread: Common word for "blackjack"

I read in a very slangy book that "очко" is the word used to say the game "blackjack" in Russian, but at every Russian casino web site they say "блэкджек". Which is more commonly used in Russian language? Also, I read that трефы, бубны, черви, and пики mean clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades, respectively. In English we say "eight OF diamonds", so does this translate to "восьмёрка бубнён"? (In literal genitive translation there.)
Any comments about craps slang terms is welcome as well, like if there are nifty words for "boxcars" (two sixes), "snake-eyes" (two ones) and those kinds of things.
Some things I like about Russian are the great cognates. Example: Питбосс. Just wonderful, absolutely superb!

You are right about genitive but it's восьмёрка бубен or you can use the appropriate adjective - бубновая восьмёрка
For other types:
nom. pl. ------ gen. pl. -------- adj.
черви ------- червей ---- червонный
трефы -------- треф ------ трефовый
пики ---------- пик -------- пиковый

Tu-160, I thought you would jump right on this one and tell me the word for blackjack in Russian is simply "Tu-160".
Incidentally, my former Russian teacher's name is "Bubnova"... I guess this is like having the last name "Diamonds"??? Pretty cool, I think I'm changing my name.
Oh yeah, in case anyone is wondering, Pasternak means "Parsnip". I've never eaten one, but it's good to know.

An interesting aside: The word очко also is slang for... a bodily opening on your rear side.... WOW

BTW, about "черви", I found it rather odd it can mean "worms" as well.

Название масти "черви" произошло, я думаю, от "червоный", т.е. красный. Черви в смысле "worms" тут явно не при чем.
