Translate t-shirt slogan/logo?
Sorry to wade into your forum like this. I hope it's okay.
A friend sent me only this picture of a t-shirt. I tried with it, but don't recognise two of the characters. I'm a bit of a novice anyway. Can anyone shed some light or tell me it's simply mass-produced gibberish? What does it say?

I'm well aware it's not the best picture, but any light shed on the issue would be hugely appreciated :-)
Thanks for your time.

It is.
It means nothing. At least one of the symbols is not even Russian.
Re: Translate t-shirt slogan/logo?
Thank you! :-D
You'd think someone would spend a little more time making a shirt say *something*... but no.
Ah well.
Thank you so much for your help!
Re: Translate t-shirt slogan/logo?
According to the logo I see on the picture I'm thinking that ЖФ = Журфак (факультет журналистики).
Re: Translate t-shirt slogan/logo?
According to what I see the letters are
UДZ ЖФV
3 Latin letters and 3 Cyrillic - definitely gibberish.
The logo looks like first half or middle XX century logo of musical cinema production studio. Interesting that the globe is centered on the Atlantics. USA logos usually have globes centered on the American continent while Soviet ones - on Eurasia. So my guess that the letters are gibberish and the picture is from European musical cinema studio or international festival of the late 40s to late 50s. The eagle is problematic though. Maybe he came from another clipart.
