'my goal' doesn't sound right. I would say "...in order to improve my english" or "...with the goal of improving my english".

'my goal' doesn't sound right. I would say "...in order to improve my english" or "...with the goal of improving my english".

Perhaps he is not Hemmingway but "My goal" is perfectly OK to say. I don't think it is wise to "nit pick" every little thing a new learner of English has to say! It only serves to confuse them at this point.

It is incorrect, because there is no state of Ural in Russia. He meant the state of Russia, Ural, Ekaterinburg. Or the Ural region, not state.

По поводу исправлений (How to say on English). Вот что я хотел написать на русском.

Area, state , region I think that an area would be better for Область Isn’t it ?
And tell me please why can’t none of us translate this song ) ? Is it difficult slang ? Even using the dictionary I can’t get it. Only guesses

Представте свой вариант. Я думаю, что его с удовольствием поправят, да еще и объяснят в чем ошибки.

"My goal is to learn English" sounds best.

Use "target" if there is a deadline.
My target is to learn English in two years.

Use "purpose" if there is a reason to learn English.
"The purpose of learning English is to get a green card."

There is no English word for область, but I think "region" is best.


The song makes no sense to me. There is too much slang. Here is my guess on the meaning of the first five lines.

Как это не твой?

Ты что не знаешь, что в английском говорят именно "мой" (to improve MY English), хотя на русский это переводится как "свой".

Область обычно переводится как "region", хотя я встречал и такой вариант - oblast.
