I have some problem in translating the following expression:
"despite the fact that these products are not so sophisticated it would be impossible to acquire deep knowledge on every insignificant detail"
My translation (please correct it):
несмотря на то, что (или хотя) эти продукты не являются такие сложными было бы невозможно иметь глубокие знания на каждую незначительную подробность.
Is there in russian a word that functions exactly in the same way as acquire?
To acquire - приобретать/приобрести, получать/получить. As for your translation there are a couple of mistakes, but most of all I don't understand the need for the future in the past tense used in it. Sure it would be great to know some of the bigger context.
The word sophisticated can be translated depending on the context several different ways - искушённый, утончённый, изысканный, умудрённый, изощрённый, сложный, тонкий, замысловатый, продвинутый, передовой. As for the phrase I would translate it this way: Несмотря на то, что эти продукты не такие сложные, было бы невозможно получить глубокие знания о каждой незначительной детали.

I suppose, here products - some mechanical or electronic devices.
These products are investment products (specifically pensions schemes). By the word no-sophisticated I mean that the way the returns are calculated and payed to the investors is not so difficult to understand and explain to investors.
Regarding the "было бы" I think that this is the actual translation of "would be". Now the reason why I used "would be" instead of a simple "is", is because I descripe a fact that is not so likely to become real (i.e. learn all the details regarding this investment products).

I don't think you should use either the future in the past in this context in the English phrase or "было бы" in your Russian translation. Doubt and uncertainty can be expressed by the words "rather", "quite". On the other hand the word "impossible" doesn't express doubt, on contrary it denotes assurance, certainty.
On the other hand, if it's a kind of ad, I wouldn't recommend to use negation. It's better from the psycologic point of view to put everything in a positive way.
So, I would say:
Несмотря на то, что схема расчёта выплат по данному продукту довольно проста, довольно/достаточно трудно [для неспециалиста] воспринять все её мельчайшие детали/нюансы.
Придумал, как совместить "было бы" и "досконально" :razz:
Несмотря на то, что эта схема выплат проста на первый взгляд, было бы наивно считать, что неспециалист сможет досконально в ней разобраться.
Народ, а вы откуда вообще взяли этого "неспециалиста"? В оригинальном предложении такого слова и в помине нету.

It's good, Antono1986 One minor grammar mistake though, but the sentense makes perfect sense. It's just that you're trying too hard if you know what I mean. You're a businessman, right? I thought it's kind of like that in business - less words - more information. Like we Russians say: "Всё гениальное - просто".
So I just suggest to come up with a less cumbersome sentence but still the one that conveys your thoughts clearly. Kind of like this:
Эти индивидуальные пенсионные планы достаточно просты, но несмотря на это, (всё-таки) невозможно полностью/досканально разобраться/разбираться во всех его малейших/незначительных деталях

Some general comments:
1. настолько. Totally new word for me. It means "so" and is to give emphasis. For example why I cannot say Paul: Несмотря на то, что эти продукты не такие сложные
2. деталь. Until now I consider this word as a synonym of a "particle of mechanism". подробность for me is more closed to what I call detail. Also I don't understand when to use нюанс instead the other two words.
3. The expression deep knowledge I found it in google translate (глубокие знания) and as you can see it is a fixed term: Google Translate). But now I know that the correct is:

такие is closer to "such", I mean it comes from it. It can be an adjective or pronoun.
"Несмотря на то, что эти продукты не такие сложные..." - you can say like this, that's absolutely correct. But "такой/такие" sounds a bit colloquial, though it's just a slight nuance, so don't care about that. No one can say it's wrong or uncommon.
Yes, деталь is a part of mechanism. But it can be translated like a "nuance" or "detail", too. Деталь is a bit more specific than подробность. In general, you may consider подробность as a detail of something immaterial. Like "подробности разговора", something that contains information. That's hard to explain properly, because sometimes these words are interchangeable. So, there is no an exact rule.

In fact, you can replace подробности with детали in these examples.
Детали sounds better in the first sentence (I mean "despite the fact that these products are not...") because the word is more specific. "Products" imply some relations between their parts, it's sort of "financial mechanism", in figurative sense. That's why детали sounds better than подробности. I hope you've got it.
You can use глубокие знания (глубокие познания в ...) as well, but it depends on context. If you mean learning, teaching, science etc, it works perfectly:
Я хочу сказать спасибо учителям, которые дали нам глубокие знания.
Антонио получил глубокие знания в школе.
Квантовая механика требует глубоких знаний математики.
Его глубокие познания в экономике принесли большой доход.
When you imply an utilitarian or practical work/situation etc, глубокие знания works not that good.
Человек, желающий выжить в конкурентном мире, должен стараться приобретать новые навыки все время . Yes, here приобретать sounds absolutely correct.
конкурентный = full of competition (as an adjective)
конкурентоспособный = having skills to compete with others
Using and understanding of the particles -ка, -то, ж/уж implies a very advanced level. The good news is that they don't change meaning of the sentence, so you can just omit them.

Well, I would disagree here. You know that all of those synonyms are there for a purporse. The words are indeed similar, even almost the same, but they still have their differences. Examine this:
знать досконально - For me it means that you know just about everything on the subject, that you didn't even miss the tiniest, the subtlest, the smallest detail when you learned about the subject. This is the most complete knowledge, when there is even nothing left for you to learn about the subject
знать подробно - For me it means that you just went beyond the basic knowledge about the subject, developed an advanced understanding of it. In short you have a very good and deep knowledge about the subject, but that doesn't mean that there is nothing left for you to learn about it. See it's the main difference between words
5. досконально is a synonym of подробно and nothing more
They are but you cannot use them interchangeably. Sometimes one suits, sometimes another, sometimes either...
Examples:
изучить (досконально, подробно) что-л.
расспросить (досконально, подробно) кого-л.
вникнуть (досконально) во что-л.
остановиться (подробно) на чём-л.
перечислять (подробно) что-л.
For me they're still different. As my friends around here said: "подробно - это подробно. Досконально - это ещё подробней чем подробно" :DQuote:
