It's a good translation, there are just a few quite unavoidable things. Mostly prepositions.

Now it looks as though they’re here to stay

here to do smth - "чтобы сделать что-то" "собираться/намереваться сделать что-то"
Теперь, похоже, они здесь намерены остаться (= они здесь чтобы остаться)

There’s a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

over=над, сверху
"тень висит надо мной"

When you are talking about seasons or times use the verb "наставать" -
Вчера настало внезапно

Why she had to go I don’t know she wouldn’t say.
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

"she wouldn't say" here means "она не захотела сказать"
"to long for yesterday" = "тосковать по вчера"

Now I need a place to hide away.
"I need a place to hide away" = just "место, чтобы спрятаться", no need to translate "away" as an independent word.

Anyway, it's a complicated poetic language, difficult to translate literally.

Another variant of this line: Я сказал что-то не то и теперь я мечтаю снова вернуться во вчера.
