Вчера, я посидал в кресле, и прочитал хорошу книгу. Книга была интересная потому, что это был о моей папе. Она сазала, что он был счастливая мужчина, и ему нравился купатьсяв в реке. Я хочу, что я познакомил бы с ним, а печальный, я не поснакомил ни с когда им.
Could someone please read over that and check for mistakes. If possible, provede an explanation too. Thanks!
No problem 8) Let's do it one sentence after another.
"Вчера <no comma> я сидел в кресле, и читал хорошую книгу".
You probably tried to use a perfect tense here? When event is in the past, you better use a simple past form: "сидел", "читал".
"Книга была интересная<,> потому что это была <книга> о моем папе".
Книга is feminine, but папа is masculine - it's an exception.
"Она рассказывала, что он был счастливый мужчина, и ему нравилось купаться в реке".
"Книга рассказывает ( or рассказывала - past)" - it's a set expression. "Мужчина" is masculine, so the adjective is masculine too: "счастливый". With a gerund - "купаться" - use a reflexive verb in a neuter gender - "нравилось" (you have put it in feminine).
"Я хотел <past>бы познакомиться с ним. Я печальный, потому что не познакомился никогда с ним".
"I want to meet him"="Я хочу познакомиться с ним". Notice, that the verb "to meet smb" - "знакомиться" is reflexive and it requires a preposition "c". The best way to say it is: "Я печален, потому что так никогда и не познакомился с ним", I can't really explain why it's better, just it is usually said this way :D .

Thankyou so much. It all makes sense, although I believe that you may have read my last sentance slightly wrot, hence correcting it wrong. Heh... I had intended for it to read "I wish I could have met him, but sadly I never did" Thanks Gerty!

If the words папa and мужчина are masculine, how do they decline? How would you put them in genetive for instance?
They decline like feminine...but anything describing them is like masculine...
хороший папа
хорошего папы
хорошему папе
хорошим папой
хорошем папе
and so on...
